TIP

Carbon Copy Your Correspondence

Thanks to Russ/Forest Chapter for good reminder on an important tip...

Get more bang from your buck when you are communicating with committee members who are not your elected officials.

At the end of your letter, cc your Florida (Tallahassee) House Rep and your Senator and send them each a copy of the letter.

You want your elected officials to always know how you feel because they are there to represent YOU.

As members of a grassroots legislative organization, this is what we do not take for granted.  We know our officials cannot represent US unless WE tell them how we feel.

This is another excellent way to help maintain rapport

…..and you never know when your elected official might see you’re your letter that as cc’d  on the same day they have lunch or are in another meeting with the actual committee member

The same thing could apply on the federal level if you are communicating with committee members, other agencies of officials – i.e. copy your US Senator and your US House member

…………..Usually if I do a letter or e-mail writing to legislators from other districts, I'll copy my own representative, just like I copied to you since I mention ABATE in the message.
